MODERATION:   Since we have like 3500 MCU threads, I’m just gonna post this here in hopes that everyone sees it, so that I don’t have to post it like 3500 times individually and spam all the threads:   When you’re talking about the MCU, please make sure that you’re talking specifically about that title in that thread. I.e; Dr Strange Thread is for Dr Strange.    And if you want to reference any other property, especially if it isn’t out yet, please use the spoiler t

Digital IMAX is just 1.9:1 anyway, that's very close to 1.78:1. Obviously the rest of the movie would be cropped more significantly.

True, but if I recall correctly, that sequence played in the classic IMAX ratio in IMAX 70mm screenings.

I'll take your word for it (I only saw it in -- I think -- digital IMAX-3D at the Chinese). But that just means it's cropped even more, since even Bluray releases of narrative native IMAX shots are cropped to 1.78:1 (e.g., all of Nolan's movies, etc)
