nothing unusual about the Rockies defeating the Chicago Cubs the other day.

Rockies Brewers should go to 5 games.

Dodgers looking to take it in under 5 games.

Houston and New York should see a rematch where Houston hits home runs at home and you have to deal with this before you shut the tv off.

Spoiler

So Amazon is doing a Wheel of Time and Lord of the Rings series and Netflix is doing a Chronicles of Narnia series.

lul, people really want that next GOT

I am very curious about Wheel of Time, because some of the crazy stuff in there will need to be changed in this era.

haven't read Wheel of Time, but apparently its the 2nd best selling Fantasy series ever behind LotR?  If Amazon pulls both of those off... lawdy.

It's very good, but the middle of the series drags, which isn't unexpected when it's 14 novels. I am curious how they compress things into seasons.

You can break the series into 4 main arcs: Books 1-3, 4-6, 7-11, and 12-14. Books 4-6 are the series at its best.

I honestly have no idea how they could possibly do it. It's just such a sprawling world. Lots of stuff would have to be "updated" for the current era too without a doubt.

It's a brilliant series, even though some of the books do drag on... and it wasn't finished by the person who started it, which caused a little friction at the time, but I think most people are happy how it turned out (I certainly was).

Also I really don't believe it's #2 best selling Fantasy all time, surely LOTR and Harry Potter take up #1 and #2?
