After it missed the AFI list I'm inclined to say Vice gets snubbed by the Globes.
CoolioD1
a good thing for A Star is Born is that even though it's the frontrunner it feels like the backlash has been hitting other movies way more. kinda going under the radar while everyone is busy shitting on green book or whatever. not looking like it's gonna be a la la land/3 billboards situation. Bohemian Rhapsody as well as the season’s other #problematic movie even though it’s not expected to get anything other than a Best Actor nomination. filmlover
Annnnnddddd Kevin Hart has dropped out as Oscar host following the controversy over old homophobic tweets and his disaster of apology attempts. What a dumbass. All he had to do was say he was sorry and was a changed man and whatnot and it all would’ve blown over and yet this happened. Now I wonder who they are gonna get, since if nobody wanted this gig before, they sure won’t want it now. I guess Kimmel a third time it is then. Sigh. SLAM!
Bummer. Kevin Hart would've been a great host.

At this point, I don’t care who they get to host anymore. Just someone that’s not named Jimmy Kimmel.
YLF
Lmao what an idiot. This is worse than just apologizing with nobody knowing the academy made him do it. Smfh.
filmlover
They really should just make this The Year Without a Host at this point.

CoolioD1
Great. I'm sure replacement choices are lining up. Especially with the way the internet ripped him to shreds immediately. Most thankless job in Hollywood indeed.
Premium George
Ricky greyvais. It's time to go all out.
Eric the Clown
Clay already mentioned Emily Blunt, but I think they should go for the Krasinski-Blunt combo as hosts this year. They're a real-life couple, so there's no worry about chemistry. Like the year Seth MacFarlane hosted, both of them are off of banner years, with A Quiet Place, Mary Poppins, and Jack Ryan all being critical and commercial hits. They're well-liked by the industry, they have no spotty past, and they can offer the class and comedy hosts like these would have. filmlover
If we’re mentioning people having good years as potential hosts another would be Melissa McCarthy, who will be attending as a nominee anyway. Just let her be her natural charming self and everyone will be happy.

Ezen Baklattan
THE HATE U GIVE is a pretty inspired choice for them. Nice.
filmlover
The Hate U Give should be a Best Picture contender along with a Best Actress one but since life is unfair it isn’t so any awards it gets is nothing but a good thing.
CoolioD1
i'm glad russell hornsby won something. also SOMEBODY needs to give Steven Yeun an award. i know he's got no chance at the big stuff, but come on. something for the real best supporting performance of the year please.
SLAM!
At this point, it's apparent to me: Regina King is going to win Best Supporting Actress. Vice is too divisive / not winning enough, and the two from The Favourite will split each others' vote. filmlover
Yeah, Regina King is shaping up to the one that will just clean sweep through the season. Haven’t seen If Beale Street Could Talk yet but I have no complaints. She’s always so good.
