Unless you’re just using production year. Also, I said “high profile”. Right, but Better Watch Out was about as high profile as some of the others. And I highly recommend The Devils Candy to any horror fan who hasn't seen it. Wasn't expecting that

Oh yeah, The Killing Of A Sacred Deer was also a decent profile release since it was by A24. On 1/25/2018 at 4:08 PM, Krissykins said: Anyway, HEREDITARY is bring the house down at Sundance. A24 have US rights. Waiting for a date, guessing March? And highly looking forward to this and will be avoiding trailers.

Hell, I was anticipating ANNABELLE: CREATION like it was some big movie event. Though that might be because of how boring the latter half of summer was getting. The Stingray
The trailer is not much, but the final product is quite solid. Nothing original, but pretty effective. Spoiler And the creature design is badass.

It opened over here and was decent up until the last 20 minutes. Once an element is introduced the movie goes downhill until the last few minutes. Krissykins
I thought The Ritual was alright, I agree it went downhill with the reveal. I just watched The Cloverfield Paradox and thought it was fun. Full of space cliches but the deaths were quite original. Plus a really great performance from Gugu Mbatha Raw. But I wouldn’t call it a horror, nothing in it is designed to scare.

Didn’t even realise it had moved, thanks for heads up. Cadaver had that date (also Sony) and is now without a release date again. SLAM!
Bad Samaritan seems like a horror film (or a horror thriller), but I'm not sure if it is.
baumer
@Krissykins @75Live There's a really cool sounding horror film opening this weekend, albeit probably in like 25 theaters or something. It's called Death House and it's written by Gunnar Hansen and it stars a veritable who's who of horror from days gone by. Kane Hodder, Dee Wallace, Tony Todd, Sid Heig, Bill Mosely, Camille Keaton (The original I Spit on Yopur Grave), Tony Moran(the original Michael Myers in Halloween) Vernon Wells (Commando and Mad Max) and a slew of others. Basically this is supposed to the Expendables cast of low budget horror. I hope i can find this sometime down the road. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2984576/reference
