Neucentro
Its box office prospect will be contingent on how the Star Wars movie performs. If TRoS is closer to TFA, this will only do +/- $200m. If it is more like TLJ, this can approach $300m.

The Futurist
If the 2017 movie had flopped you would have had people explaining to you the Jumanji brand was dead, that nobody was asking for a new Jumanji, Robin Williams Yaddy yadda ... that everybody saw the flop coming ... After the facts commentators. Gotta love'em. Edited November 22, 2019 by The Futurist
a2k
F7 and San Andreas in April-May 2015 was the only year DJ got 2 50m openers. This year Jum3 could do 50+ along with HS at 60+. (If Jum3 was in/near summer like F7, SA and HS it would surely have done 50+. Jum2 could itself have done so in 2017 and along with F8 would have given DJ 2 50+ openers that year also.)

I'm guessing there will be strong overperformance on Jumanji 2 and surprising underperformance on ep9. Could be heading towards another Justice League type of result.

Poseidon
Trailerclicks for this one are pretty much on par with SW on YT. Still, it's kind of muted, but at the end of the day, this will be the #1 choice over the holidays again.
lilmac
Jumanji didn’t seem like a film that necessarily retained a core following. Even Pros $260m estimate sounds high to me. Edited November 29, 2019 by lilmac

1Robert1
Jumanji welcome to the jungle trailer has 32.5 mln views and 172k likes, Jumanji next level has 32.8 mln views, and 1 million likes. With good WOM it can do at least 300 millions.
a2k
JW1 to JW2 drop gives 259 and IT1 to IT2 drop gives 261. Hope it does at least these numbers. Has there been a sequel to a 400+ film that did under-300? Attack of the Clones and POTC3 made it by a small margin. Shrek3 and Mockingjay1 did it comfortably.
Alli
Why are people expecting a drop, especially such a harsh one? TROS will be no competition. I think it does around the first one
