So while I'm not the target audience for ICOI, it does look sweet enough that I wouldn't mind taking my mum to see it sometime next week. Everyone who saw it tonight absolutely loved it and it was so nice seeing everyone leave a movie theatre so happy.

This one older gentleman though came super early and talked to the concessionist we were setting up, asking us 'how the song has impacted us in our lives before' and it was really awkward since I had never heard of it, so thankfully one of the girls next to me answered for us.

So then he started singing it to us, and I wasn't sure how to respond, cause I had to do work but I felt rude like 'ignoring' him.

Le Berg has sleepwalked through many a film this century, and no him on autopilot is not better than hundreds of other movies from this century. His 20th century category is as legendary as it gets though.

Not surprised at PRU's drop, given the general 'meh' consensus on it. Tomb Raider has even seemed to generate better WOM, and with RPO landing at the higher end of expectations, it just seems to naturally be the casualty.

Shame though, for a movie that 4 years ago the internet was SO hyped for.

Any chance, like at all, it limps over the 100m line if Disney keeps in in theaters for a long while?

Disney isn't known for fudging (Gnomeo and Juliet anyone?), so I'd say it's probably unlikely.image.png

They tried with Gnomeo and Juliet, though. And they did do with Cinderella:

Kept in sub-360 theaters for even longer (17 weeks)

That's what I meant about keeping them in theaters for a long time.

They clearly tried (and failed) to cross 100m with Gnomeo, and tried (and succeeded) to cross 200m with Cinderella.  Just wondering if they might try again.

If BP can go up a little over the next couple of days it could end up in the top 5 best 7th weekends. Or it could fall just out of the top 10. Loads really close together on this chart and then there's Avatar/Titanic.
