It's not. A friend of mine has seen Life, and it has literally nothing to do with Venom, its more Alien like. Unless there is any post-credits scene no one knows about.

Okay but that scene with the crowd that was recycled from Spider-man 3 is in Life which means it's definitely connected to Venom in some way and is nothing like Alien.
