I don't think Hollywood has ever faced a situation like this one in a long time. I am sure it is just about the only topic on management meetings at eht studio.

Anyway,only film we are really talking about is "Mulan" and I have a feeling the Mouse will just let that one ride and see what happens.

I mean, Peter Rabbit 2 literally moved today. If Disney were to choose to move Mulan (or other titles, down the road), I have a hard time imagining that exhibitors would choose to bring a lawsuit given the current situation.

It should be a late Feb/early Mar release for Easter (Pres Weekend would usually be the best kickoff one...or if not that one, the weekend afterwards)...

They should do the decent thing and just delete the film from their servers so it never has to be inflicted on the public.

It's a good move for the industry to see if the summer for families might actually work out.  It's a spring movie, not a summer one, so backing into the end of spring was its best bet if it was releasing this year.

 

I thought it should have taken Black Widow's date, but BW didn't give it up, so it took the next best thing...
