why  did he leave? Couldn’t handle Infinity War breaking the record? Its also weird he didn’t have a farewell post or anything he just made one brief post

He probably saw how out of control this place was becoming re: franchise movies and bailed. Can't say I blame him, some of the weekend threads have been impossible to read recently.

I feel like a lot of the GA are in my boat for JW: I generally liked the movie but it didn't compel me to go see a sequel, I had my fix. If OW is 130 and it gets a 2.5x multi it will have pretty much exactly a 50% dropoff from the first. At least they aren't greenlighting Blue: A Jurassic World Story.

JW3 might have a better hook for the GA. I could see that being a 400M grosser.

As long as JW3 doesn’t act like JP3 and becomes too underhyped, and with better reception, i could see it do larger at the box office WW-wise as well. If they up the ante, and not do the mistakes of JP3.

He stated his reasons.

Maybe you should speak for yourself.

He said in the Telegram that he became disinterested in box office altogether.

Makes sense. The box office landscape has become pretty limited, and he rarely expressed much interest in the films that dominated the discussions either.

Where's baumer? He loves these movies. I'm expecting him to weigh in with a 9 or better out of 10 for JWFK.

@baumer has said that he thinks JWFK isn't his Jurassic Park/World.
