He probably saw how out of control this place was becoming re: franchise movies and bailed. Can't say I blame him, some of the weekend threads have been impossible to read recently.

If OW is 130 and it gets a 2.5x multi it will have pretty much exactly a 50% dropoff from the first. At least they aren't greenlighting Blue: A Jurassic World Story.

 

JW3 might have a better hook for the GA. I could see that being a 400M grosser.

As long as JW3 doesn’t act like JP3 and becomes too underhyped, and with better reception, i could see it do larger at the box office WW-wise as well. If they up the ante, and not do the mistakes of JP3.

Yep. The numbers kept getting bigger and bigger until it passed his beloved SW.   I think it broke him.
