Would have preferred them to release earlier just to not get an annoying surprise like Thor (which seemed like it would get much better reviews).

And thus, knowing that about Thor, you should probably figure the reviews here will probably be lower than you'd expect from the pedigree of the film...

They social media embargo on October 25th. They are probably trying to prevent spoilers from leaking all over the place.

We have no way to know, really. Could be spoilers or maybe they actually aren't confident in the movie. They've been doing the Tuesday review drop for all the big Phase 4 sequels, NWH had stellar reviews, the other two not so much.

Man, I get that some of y'all are nervous about The Current State of the MCU, but the simple fact of the matter is, unless it's the actual date of release, review embargo dates (and really, social media ones) tell us VERY little about the quality of a film, one way or the other.  And even in the cases of studios holding reviews until release, there have been occasional examples of films actually being good and the studio in question just misjudged their own product!

At best, it's an exercise in tea leaf reading. Which is... well, I get it's the inalienable right of fans everywhere (esp nervous ones), but tea leaf reading is all it is.

Maybe this film will buck the trend.

I guess I'm just being optimistic and think Ryan Coogler can truly pull this off. I have not seen anything so far that give me pause. We will see soon enough in less than month.

Thor and Strange had the same review embargo. Same for all the tv shows I believe.

Reviews for Thor and Dr Strange are not even that bad. Neither are rotten, it seems they were more disappointments with fans than anything.

It seems Eternals made them change their review embargo. They released early and the reviews did not help that film at all.

If anything the only thing that worries me is that runtime. 160 minutes can be a slog unless the film really delivers. We’ll see what happens anyway.

The hints were there in the initial batch of reactions
