Wow so I guess WOM for Venom is alright. Some were expecting 65%+ drop.

Its WOM has been very good! But it was always going to have a big drop due to losing its premium format screening to First Man!

Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Beautiful Boy is looking at the biggest PTA of the year so far with over $84K from 4 theaters. Woah if that holds up.

Audiences can’t get enough of this generation’s greatest actor (gimme that “Not Cool” reaction Coolio)

Considering the more subdued reviews, that’s really impressive. I can see a scenario where the film gets a nod for Chalamet and nothing else.

I wonder how much the Q&A he's doing after multiple showings at one of the NYC theaters this weekend is inflating the gross lol. Never underestimate the draw of seeing famous people in person. But yeah, this is a great start all things considered.

Since Slambros, my faith-based movie whisperer mentioned Gosnell this week, I was wondering where it would finish since it didn't make Deadline's 1st top 10...guess it did sneak in temporarily over A Simple Favor for the 10th spot.  Probably not gonna be any kinda breakout or any kinda major expander with a $1.2Mish OW at 600ish theaters (I don't think $2000 per theater gets it done), but it's something to note for future faith-based movie openers...

It seems like neither First Man or Gosnell hit the angle that made them "more watchable" than the real life lived experience (or multiple prior movie/tv experiences) that potential audience had already seen.
