GvK did NOT do bad. Remember, that was in spring of 2021 with the pandemic beeing in full swing. Tons of people who would have seen it in theaters (and who liked that trailer) had the option to watch it on HBO Max directly. So the movies grosses worldwide were seen rightly as a big big success.

Maybe because Dune have an international release in most countries before DOM / HBO Max? Just a theory...

Frankly the fact that we have to use DS2 2nd trailer already ruins the formula😆

 

This trailer had pent up demand like NWH, unlike either ds2 on YouTube. It will be hard to comp to DS2 because of that, and hard to comp to NWH which is split across two big channels (marvel and Sony)
