The Wind Rises is one of my favorite animated movies ever. To me, that would have been just fine a send-off for Miyazaki, as it felt like such a personal film in a different way than his previous movies. But it's impossible to complain about Miyazaki helming another Ghibli film, and with the time and care that seems to getting put into this film, and the explicit personal-to-Miyazaki and emotional connection this film has, I can tell it's shaping up to be a grand, true finale to Miyazaki's feature film career.

 

In any event, this is surely my most anticipated upcoming film.
