Some anecdotal evidence from me: The showing in an hour has 4 out of 200 seats sold (Venom's equivalent was 100+), and I can't access the one starting right now, but they're every hour. Also it's rated 18 here (a strict cutoff), meaning any horror seeking 16/17 yr olds are alienated and unable to watch it. At Cineworld Crawley the showing in 2 minutes has about 150 / 400 tickets sold, which means primetime Saturday Evening couldn't even half fill it 😕

Queen biopic Bohemian Rhapsody has begun its UK box office run with a promising £1.62m opening Wednesday night (October 24). The 20th Century Fox release played in 575 venues, giving it a site average of £2,817. The Wednesday opening makes accurate comparisons fairly tricky, but fellow music-themed release A Star Is Born opened two weeks ago on a Wednesday with £522,000. Another recent Wednesday opener in a similar genre would be Pitch Perfect 3, which took £1m in December 2017, while The Greatest Showmantook £654,000 on its opening Tuesday in that same month. https://www.screendaily.com/news/bohemian-rhapsody-posts-healthy-162m-uk-opening-night/5133990.article

Jonwo
ASIB is in touching distance of £20m which I reckon it'll hit by either Wednesday or Thursday. £25m could be achievable although it'll likely shed cinemas by the time Widows is released and certainly by Fantastic Beasts.
