I think that was down to the 70mm version being exclusive to Odeon Leicester Square when Cineworld wanted to show it at Picturehouse Central. That’s the market’s best animation debut of virus times and the third-biggest overall since 1917 launched in January 2020. The Saturday haul was bigger than the combined revenue of the other Top 10 titles by over 20%. Will be interesting to see who wins out between Death on the Nile and Uncharted, my guess is Death on the Nile just because it's Agatha Christie.
