She thinks it'll have a worse internal multiplier than DH1. That doesn't make any sense. If anything, the Friday number is incredibly telling that this will not behave strictly like Potter/Twilight on opening weekend. A $66m OD should be enough for it to clear $140m.

If Friday is $66M, it should make more than $130M. First, $66M is $46M minus midnights. $46M is the same that NM made without midnights. NM made $70M sat and sun combined. If THG made $70M sat and sun combined that would be $136M. That is the bare minimum it would make. However, I anticipate its internal multiplier to be much better than NM. I mean its Midnight to Friday is already better than NM, so why wouldn't its regular internal multiplier be. Oh well. Nikki sucks at math.

I'm pretty sure that it will drop some on Saturday but it is good for 135 million or so. I don't think this movie has the kind of inbuilt audience that TDK had and it has already sold over 7.5-8 million tickets. It should drop by 5-10%.

A Lionsgate insider tells me that ”$70M is still a possibility for Friday with a little swing here or there”. And one rival studio exec explains to me, “The West Coast and late shows still need to come in, so this number could bounce around a bit. But, nevertheless it’s everything we thought it to be.”
