Recommended Posts

While you wait, here is how we did today. 14 shows - maximum capacity of 2901. We had 1984 in attendance for Hunger games today. Which gave us a rather hefty total of $14,327.50We had 1201 last night at the midnights. We so far have 901 tickets sold for tomorrow.

I'm a bit more cautious after the Variety midnight number.

Why. Variety midnight number was overestimated because they projected 3500+ theaters, and it ended up in 2500. Now add in the fact that this topped BD1 in presales, and yet, only made 66% of its midnights. A HUGE proportion of those presales were for Friday and the rest of the weekend. Now finally, consider that this is a non-sequel, which means that as strong as the presales are, walkups will contribute to a large % of Friday business.

How does that compare to other huge openers at your theater?

1984 today, 1201 midnight. So midnight counts about 40% of full Friday ? Edited by firedeep
