No, even 350 would be great legs from there. Could happen with a combination of reception being great and reopening helping legs (larger factor in some markets).

now you are reffering to 400mill ow-china right ? sorry for asking hoping you dont mind :)

Was referring to 350 there. Of course in theory movies can always overperform on legs, but hitting 400 even from 120 would be almost impossible imo.

India + Entire South East Asia is closed which did really well for GvK. Only Singapore is open but has hardly any scope to do anything with only 50 people allowed in a show.

Ya really makes me wonder if Disney had stuck to the late April / Early May release date - would it have done better overseas.

Definitely revenues lost from the delay now in South East Asia due to COVID and China due to other reasons.

My Labor Day in Asia, Memorial domestic, June in markets that need it plan would have worked great — except for spoilers I guess, but they did AM&tW very staggered and it was fine.

AM&TW didn't do staggered in SEA. Also AM&TW didn't had HD print out on release.

I misunderstood.

FF9 opened in China and some parts of Asia in May when situation was not as bad..

If BW had opened in China on labour day holiday - early May, easily USD200m just from China already (just based on trailer views there and assuming just average reception)...

Theaters were closed in some European territories like France so no, it wouldn't have done better.

This delay was the right choice in the end.

Not sure whether an estimated at least USD200m gross from China is mitigated by these European territories though.. of course we are talking about Gross and not Profits.

May Labour Day period was really a good release date for China; local films released then all ended up pretty bad in terms of WoM..

Don't forget the push to July also comes with Disney+ release.. not sure whether this is good or bad for overseas gross.

Please see BW Dom thread and China general thread, been discussed a few times unfortunately.

Let's see whether it can get edited and released in August, and the piracy impact..
