Looking to end up around the Flash numbers, both RT score and boxoffice. Flash had a lead actor who was an abusive criminal and that film was part of a dead DCEU. This had way more going for it too. Weird.

It somewhat surprisingly appears to be paying for some of the sins of recent superhero movies in OS markets, even those that weren't Marvel projects. The admissions in France for opening day tracking near Blue Beetle and the mediocre to outright bad reception in South Korea and Hong Kong is a bad bellwether.

2 MCU films flopping this year is shocking.

They were determined to put Deadpool 3 out on May because they needed a massive win to start the next year. Feige is probably pissed as hell the strikes have delayed it. Will likely have to move Cap 4, which will make much less, to May now.

Not the disaster we thought  it might be.  Better than Eternals and Quantam by a lot for now. But basically eh which will not get the fence sitters to come on board. Unless it gets get WOM and a A CS Ballad Of Songbirds and Snakes is going to kill it next week.

What is the obsession with RT? BO wise it doesn't mean anything, if anything the audience score is more relevant.

RT watch has always been a thing in this forum, which I'm sure you are aware of. The conversation around it is actually a lot tamer nowadays than during the days of BVS, Suicide Squad, etc.

The Flash numbers are so awful that you cannot simply explain them away with "LOL Miller is an abusive criminal"....... similarly The Marvels is tracking with numbers that should be impossible even if the film is an F cinemascore film. You would think there's still a proportion of the normies who will turn up just because it's a big budget superhero movie. That they are not is a sign that Hollywood and the cinema industry is in a much bigger trouble than people want to admit.

Disney was stupid for holding onto reviews for so long. They aren't THAT bad. Should have lifted the review embargo a week ago to raise awareness.

Right out of the gate from the movie, man this was a really fun time, movie have his flaws for sure, but the action it's good, the chemistry between the characters is really great, and for me FINALLY most of the humor lands (unlike Thor love and thunder and Quantumania) doesn't really deserve that Rotten score and It's a shame that it's going to be such a big failure, really enjoyed the movie.

Exactly this.

I thought it was going to get torn apart by critics but overall, it's been mixed but leaning positive.

Anyways, it's too late now. Disney are going to feel the affects of their own decisions.

if you read the “positive reviews” though most of them criticize all major aspects of the film but then just give the film a pass because they like the actresses or because “it’s fun”. The average moviegoer is not going to turn over their hard earned cash becuse bloggers are treating the film gently
