Eric the Clown
It’s time. The 92nd Academy Awards broadcast tonight, and all hell is expected to break loose. There’s no host, but expect great musical performances, expected wins, complete upsets, and speeches ranging from powerful to cringy all in one night. Will Parasite win it all? Will Sam Mendes steal Papa Nolan’s Oscar? Will gamers finally rise up? Is the Academy stupid for not nominating Lupita Nyong’o and Awkwafina? (well, we all know the answer to that) Da rules: be nice, be civil, have fun. Do anything stupid, you’re getting warning points. Enjoy! #BongHive

SpiderByte
NGL after all the endless moaning and groaning about "are Marvel/superhero films cinema" that Joker is taking home almost definitely two (Actor and Score) and possibly Avengers taking home Visual Effects, it'll be a bit nice to watch Irishman very likely get completely shut out. As for Best Picture, it's either 1917 or Parasite with an upset. Maybe Once Upon A Time if the preferential voting stuff kicks in. Coldbird
Looked up a sites for bets - favourite is 1917, following Parasite. Joker favourite for Actor and Sound, Rene Zellweger and Brad Pitt in their acting categories. FvF for editing. Hope Joker wins all, would be funny for the drama on twitter, otherwise i didnt watch enough movies to have an favourite.

Then scorsesee talked about "not cinema" he definitely meant movies like Marvel and not like Joker.

filmlover
I hope Joaquin gives the most rambling speech of the night. Or at least provides the most gif-worthy moments. His confused reaction to his clip (the bathroom dance) at SAG a few weeks back was priceless.

Praise Bong. I'm re-watching it right now. I think 1917 is a terrific technical accomplishment, but there's no doubt in my mind that Parasite would definitely be the better winner now and long-term. 2
filmlover
I like that @Eric Sionis asks in the title "what will be the Green Book of 2019?" Pretty sure the answer to that would be Jojo Rabbit lol. The meltdowns would probably be worse.

But yes, Huldur Gudnadottir is winning and rightly so. what a great score! That would also be 2 SH Score winners back to back.
