Middle East doing pretty dope.

Saudi looks like $0.9-1mn weekend may be.

UAE most likely $1-1.2mn.

So annoying that those are the only two middle eastern countries it has released in so far. Espescially Saudi Arabia which still has a large number of cases compared to other Middle Eastern countries.

some news about the us movie theater reopening based from an article online that i have posted here too as of last weekend 38% of movie theaters in us were open, those theaters represented 37% of the market share, theater count of previous weekend was 1823, so if my math are correct this weekend with 2412 theaters reopen, that number would represent around 52% of movie theaters in the us, with market share i imagine close to it, so by the time tenet comes around 60-65 % of movie theaters in the us could be open and thats without california and new york which together have 700 movie theaters, so not bad , not bad at all, very good

Canada has grossed another over $1mn in sneaks. Majority European countries number aren&#39;t reported publicly. Good performance almost everywhere, Korea is a bit downer. <a href="https://t.co/efRqEf2iHW">pic.twitter.com/efRqEf2iHW</a></p>&mdash; charlie Jatinder (@itisjat32) <a href="https://twitter.com/itisjat32/status/1299328620968570880?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">August 28, 2020</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

The film at end of day will cross $0.7mn in pre-sales, which is a good number 6 days out. The early expectation are $14-15mn opening day from the film, which will presage an opening weekend of $50mn Approx. <a href="https://t.co/YsVdcoUCm8">pic.twitter.com/YsVdcoUCm8</a></p>&mdash; charlie Jatinder (@itisjat32) <a href="https://twitter.com/itisjat32/status/1299376647917903872?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">August 28, 2020</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

I would caution extrapolating too much early just because the Nolan rush for pre-sales is always a bit misleading at the start. I think Dunkirk also had quite strong pre-sales before leveling off to a more expected range. Let's see how it goes.

Seems solid for Tenet so far under the circumstances.

I’m also guessing it’ll have a longer run than usual with more cinemas and countries opening up gradually.

its more than solid that would be very good

Indeed. These numbers are great, those countries alone can produce $200m for it if it opens at $50m this weekend, considering that Unchanged is getting a 4.0x pretty much everywhere thanks to the lack of competition, I fail to see how a Nolan movie would struggle to do it.

Then you have DOM & China that may produce $100m each one, and you already get $400m WW with the rest of the world to follow yet.

It may come closer to Dunkirk than we all expected.

Amazing.

What we have to consider is the absence of anything resembling competition. In recent history, there rarely (or never) was a movie that had virtually the whole market to itself (even if it's a coronally smaller market now). Today we're used to oversaturation with attractive releases, but for weeks to come Tenet will be the only big-scale actioner on the big screen. I'd guess we'll see some very nice holds!

Oh I'm just referring to China in this instance which does seem to be up and running as a market. The rest of the world should hopefully hold well!
