peludo
Spain I am tracking presales in the biggest theater of the country. I do not have too many movies to compare to. The most similar film I have data is FFH, which opened to €3.8m ($4.3m with current ER) in 2019. Presales are 25% ahead of FFH at the same point, so The Batman would open to about $5m OW, maybe a bit more. That would be really good for a SH film. An even better data is that ratio of tickets sold on Saturday or Sunday relative to whole weekend is higher for The Batman than for FFH. It could mean to be less frontloaded and... maybe better legs? FFH Friday: 70% Saturday: 23% Sunday: 7% The Batman Friday: 57% Saturday: 30% Sunday: 13% Edited March 2, 2022 by peludo 4

SchumacherFTW
Lots of Batman ads all over Berlin while I've been exploring today. WB not skimping in Germany at all.

titanic2187
From Malaysia, the presale here skewed mostly IMAX and presale isn’t that amazing when I did my morning checking. Outside of imax, the occupancy rate including peak hour fall below 20% but walks-up has been great and by the point when I headed to my dinner, the occupancy rate jump to 70% or even 80% for showing at night. RJ55
Seems like this going to have 140-150 OW in overseas market. Probably 350-400 total. If china can get 70m. Then thats not far from 500m total.

SK BO is depressed due to Covid and so Batman's number are gonna be quite low there. However audience reception is poor too based on ratings. More Justice League and TSS level rather than Joker or Aquaman level. 3 minutes ago, excel1 said: where the broken records at??? In your imagination. There is not a single market where it will break any records. It will do well in Europe but its just not big enough to reach top levels. 2 3

RJ55
So insidekino predict OW around 350k. Nearly 1/3 of Joker. Around $4m, no? That's a bit letdown actually considering France nice OD and seems like it's also have great OW in Spain for SH standard OW. Let's see reception in Italy and UK. Joker was unusually strong in Germany (like almost everywhere) as CBM doesn't do that good here most of the time, so while I hope for more 350k wouldn't be too bad actually.

Same for Singapore, spoke to the theaters - presales only good for IMAX... Hope it does well over the weekend. I feel that in general South East Asian audiences are not very sophisticated in taste; i.e. Amazing Spiderman and The Dark Knight Rises came close to each other in SG despite glaring differences in quality. In 2008, KF panda grossed higher than The Dark Knight here.. so not very sure what to expect.
