Wed shows+ 3 on Th is new normal imo. Only questions whether DS2 does 3+no wed or 3+ wed.

I feel like there won’t be because Marvel will try to avoid spoilers (and they don’t need to build hype/buzz). 3PM Thursday seems likely though. I’ll bet the IM will be 5.5-6.

Why Sing 2 comp? I think Uncharted comp may be good. If Uncharted sales started later, I guess do first x days sales for a few days?

Sing 2 is a major kids title like Sonic 2. It and Encanto are the only real options I have in that field, and while both aren't presales-driven, they are better than nothing.

I do plan on adding in Uncharted later on, though I am lost on what else to use. Jungle Cruise and Free Guy were originals (yes I know JC is based on a ride hush), so their patterns are different and weird.

EDIT: Oh yeah, Ghostbusters will be another comp for this later on.

Too early to judge anything but Morbius is already in single digits percentage wise despite being a week later whereas Lost City...is what it is, something minor to see there

Morbius counted today at 10am EST for Friday, April 1 (17 days to go):

NY (AMC Fresh Meadows 7): 187 (10 showtimes)
Miami (AMC Sunset Place 24): 77 (11 showtimes)
Grand Rapids (AMC Grand Rapids 18): no showtimes so far (hmm)
Austin (AMC Lakeline 9): also no showtimes so far
Tempe/Phoenix (AMC Centerpoint 11): 5 (10 showtimes)
San Francisco (AMC Metreon 16): 76 (11 showtimes)
LA (AMC Universal): 86 (7 showtimes)

Total tickets sold in 5 theaters: 431.

Comps: Because Morbius has so far no showtimes in 2 of the theaters where I counted the sales of BW it's not a very good comp at the moment. BW had in 4 theaters (the AMCs Fresh Meadows, Grand Rapids, Lakeline and Centerpoint) 300 sold tickets after one day. In the same 2 theaters (AMC Fresh Meadows and AMC Centerpoint) BW had in sum 221 sold tickets and Morbius has in sum 192. It's remarkable that the presales of Morbius in NY are almost on par (187 to 193) but way behind in Arizona (5 to 28). Maybe more a film for the coasts?

And TSS had with 20 days left but with tickets already on sale since a few days 292 sold tickets for Friday in 7 theaters (and 290 sold tickets in the same 5). So at least 2x TSS's weekend number is a good guess at the moment IMO.
Overall I would say that is a quite decent start for Morbius.

The Lost City counted today at 10am EST for Thursday, March 24:

NY (AMC Fresh Meadows 7): 56 (3 showtimes)
Miami (AMC Sunset Place 24): 15 (2 showtimes)
Grand Rapids (AMC Grand Rapids 18): 21 (2 showtimes)
Austin (AMC Lakeline 9): 6 (2 showtimes)
Tempe/Phoenix (AMC Centerpoint 11): 8 (2 showtimes)
San Francisco (AMC Metreon 16): 68 (5 showtimes)
LA (AMC Universal): 70 (3 showtimes)

Total tickets sold in 7 theaters: 244.

Up 17% since Saturday.
Comps: Marry Me's final presales number for Thursday was 198.
The number is quite good but I don't expect a big rush till the release week.

Jujutsu Kaisen 0 had yesterday in 6 theaters 921 sold tickets. And in the AMC Fresh Meadows it had today 293 sold tickets and gets now 10 showtimes (4 added since yesterday).
M
eans it has now in sum in my 7 theaters 1.214 sold tickets (respectively a bit more because I didn't count the 6 other theaters today but will tomorrow). A very nice number!

I find it interesting that it's tracking above Venom 2. I wonder if it's a good comp.

I think Venom 2 underperformed in both Denver and at Megaplex and on top of that had very strong walkups. It'll come down a lot especially once I shift to the T-X comps(which I will probably do tomorrow)

Venom 2  is the best comp considering they are part of the same universe !!! That said it does not need the same level of surge as Venom 2 for sure to have a good weekend. Its going to open big for sure.
