Really good increase. Weird it still dropped in DS2 comp. I guess one disadvantage is its still a holiday as opposed to working monday for DS2. We are entering the exciting final 3 days. Tomorrow either it storms against DS2 comps or @M37 club just wins. let us see how things go.

DS2 had a great Monday, I think way higher than even NWH. Then Tuesday it had a small jump and in Denver Wednesday actually sold less than Tuesday and not much higher than Monday. You are right about tomorrow though, if it just has a normal pace jump of +50% instead of a big one (like +80% or more), I will be joining that club.

I think just 50% is highly unlikely. It should increase bigger with not just being 1st final weekday but also when reviews hit and show counts expand big as well as chains finalize their thursday shows. But to me wednesday also matters. off late we are seeing with many movies that wednesday does not show further big acceleration, may be with fewer catalysts(not that many further shows  gets added on wednesday and reviews would be played out by then). 

 

I am thinking 20-25K at MTC1 tomorrow and (I sadly cannot calculate quick enough but high teens at MTC2)

I think Wednesday does accelerate in the later hours, but yeah samples taken before then will be deflated due to lack of catalysts. Thor will need to trend closer to BW which did have a solid Wednesday jump (though expecting a bit lower %-wise due to higher sales volume).

Looking at DS2 final weekdays, Thor needs 30K+ tomorrow at MTC1 to stay in tough to hit Charlie's high end projections(didn't he say 32m). FYI DS2 sold about 148K final day.

Consider the weakness I see at MTC2 and few other chains reported, Thor needs 560K+ at MTC1 to hit 30m. Assuming like of like number of 285K, even with 35K/45K/170K, it will be just around 535K. So need more than 30K to hit 32m. 27m will need 505Kish and that could be done 30/35/155K.
