I Don't Even Fucking Know - Oppenheimer Sacto Report [T-49]

179/3488 [5.13% sold] (16 showtimes)

0.45431x Dune on Day 1                                   [2.32m]

3.14035x Nope on Day 1                                   [20.10m]

0.64621x No Time to Die on Day 1                   [4.01m]*

0.24895x Jurassic World Dominion on Day 1  [4.48m]

* [EA Showtimes for NTTD not recorded until Day 3— no more than 81 seats sold at EA showings]

Okay, Nope is clearly not a good comp on Day 1.  Aside from that?

bJTiO57.jpg

FWIW, nearly half the tickets sold (85/179) were at the local True IMAX indie theater.

So, since this thread is Ever Looking Onward, what does the Collective BOT Hive think about this?

Have to admit it's a stronger start than I personally was expecting.  But I'm not sure on how strong of a start it actually is and what it is pointing to with the Silly Long preview window and Partial PLFs Only.

(and, no, I didn't track TENET since at the time Sacto was still locked down, so I don't have any direct recent comparisons)

So curious what folks are thinking about this from a mid-major market like Sacramento.

It shows that Nolan's fanbase is willing to show up even for a film like this one that steers away from sheer spectacle, but not much else I think. We'll need to see how the normal tickets behave, as the Nolan fans wanting to grab their premium tickets, imho, is not that surprising.

Gonna be tough tracking this one for sure. Something like $4M-$5M previews doesn't seem too far off imo

NOPE comp says $20M!! Mario is going down Fire Elmo Memes

That’s good for Elemental, right? That puts it ahead of Indiana Jones’s pace and well ahead of what it was doing yesterday
