Wow, that's a crazy start. 15+ OD looks probable to me. Btw I think Friday may also be worth a look, quite good sales there from what I have seen.

Mario MTC1

Thursday - 9329/723939 161730.23 3564 shows

Friday - 17413/898268 297650.43 4380 shows

Saturday - 21172/945643 325542.94 4594 shows

Wednesday sales are still the dominant one but friday/saturday are very good on their own and will grow at a faster pace. So 3 day weekend is looking very strong as well.  Let us wait close to release to hone in on OW. But its going to be big.

I wonder if there will be any spike in D&D sales after positive reviews over the last 24 hrs

Ticket sales still look sparse near me.

I wonder if it gets an ad spot during the Oscars, indicating that tickets are available. That might give it a boost, but it feels like this still isn't hitting the radar of the average person.

I feel like D&D is gonna be pretty hard to track, given all the different Early Access screenings (like 3 in total i think), right?

It's like I have said, the positive reviews and WOM can only help, but it really feels to me that Dungeons and Dragons as a brand is still just kinda seen as a "nerd" thing, in a derogatory way. I'm a 20 something guy and I feel like if I mentioned it to my friends they'd probably say "that movie looks/sounds lame", and these guys are all into the franchise stuff and video games and all that. We're the target audience

I think the desired appeal of this movie is a pretty wide demographic. My 10 year old is keen, and we're taking him opening weekend with some of his friends.

My wife is keen, and if my kids weren't interested, it would have been a date night for us.

The problem is, for a wide appeal, it's not penetrating any of those demographics particularly well. And with just over 2 weeks before it comes out, they probably have to decide what's the best market to target.

Yah Shazam is DOA at this point. With WB not even trying hard enough and even delaying the reviews until the last minute. its highly likely to open below its tracking at this point which in itself is not good.

Shazam 2

MTC1 previews - 25091/486793 460567.25 2370 shows

MTC1 friday - 16130/701379 290210.32 3370 shows

MTC2 previews - 11328/343412 156228.71 2003 shows

More than total number, the pace is abysmal as we are entering the final week and reactions from few online bloggers did not help at all.

John Wick 4 MTC1

Previews - 35074/426559 641954.24 2120 shows

Friday - 26356/612103 485565.00 2993 shows

Considering this is coming 12 days later, presales are quite good and has much better pace that shazam !!! I think with strong reviews it can make a play for double digit previews.

We'll see how Flash goes since I feel like that's another one that could collapse.

Come on man. Your doom posting just about every movie these days. You enjoy talking nearly every single release down?
