Def a retcon, but a cool retcon. Something early Marvel would have done. Stuff like this is why Cinematic Universes CAN be cool if done right

Between Minus One, Monarch and this, Godzilla fans are being well fed. I have a soft spot for monster movies even as an almost 50 year old woman, I think because my little brother loved them and so growing up, we ended up watching a ton of these on VHS. G vs. K was my first movie back in the theater after I got vaccinated. Excited for this one. Hope it lives up to the hype!

This movie has serious potential to be big. GVK made over 400 million WW as a hybrid release when theaters still had capacity limits and people were not eager to be inside a movie theater yet. Monarch on Apple  being so good is only going to help.

Apparently this character is returning in a more major role in this movie. That alone ensures it'll be the biggest movie of the decade
