$135 million budget, will be lucky to make even half that domestically. And then factor in both the normal P&A costs AND the Awards Push costs.

I think Fox did a commendable thing letting Inarritu fulfill his vision. It's really expensive to shoot out in the wilderness with natural light, and I'm glad they let him do it, though it wasn't necessarily a good business decision.

I think the flaw is a good score. Like some directors are so focused on realism it sort of puts you out of the film...as films are in the end escapism to most people.

 

Like it's all subjective that you either want to feel your in a bubble watching the scene 

Or it be someone who is standing there behind the camera watching people act.

 

 

Like last of the mohicans is a much better movie with a much more simplistic story as it's like an escape into a world into the past.

 

I think that is why a lot of these real realist movie never really breakout to the mainstream these days.

Loved this movie.

 

The cinematography was absolutely gorgeous. Leo and Tom did a great job. The bear scene was nicely done and the last confrontation was very personal. You felt like you were there?

 

"All you gotta do.....is blink".

 

How do you not like that scene?

The blink scene was very funny. I've already talked about how I don't like the ending.
