Charlie says $32-33m for Minions on Sat so Friday somewhat inflated as expected.

So I guess maybe $30 million for Sunday (because Monday is a Holiday).

That would be $110 million OW 3-day. $140 m ow 4-day?

I don't see it matching Sunday on Monday (there are still outdoor activities going on in the day), but I guess kids films will have the advantage of being less reliant on evening shows (when usually everyone is out watching fireworks).

Here are my early unofficial numbers....

Minions2 - $32.5m

TG2 - $9.5m

Elvis - $6.5m

JWD - $5.5m

BP - $4.5m

Hopefully most of these stay flat on Sunday before the inevitable big drops on Monday.

I've watched a fair number of interviews with Chris Meledandri and he always come across well. I suspect the main reason he keeps the Illumination budgets low is to avoid what happened with Titan AE which lost $100m, both SLOP2 and Sing 2 made less than their predecessors but still were profitable.
