3/3 - 3/5 Weekend Thread | Creed III gets the biggest franchise opening and MGM opening ever with 58.7M. #AintMan drops 61% for 12.5M. Jonathan Majors still getting paid fat stacks

Earlier this week the CEO of AMC said that he predicted we would get 30 $100M+ grossers this year (29 to go, soon to be 28 since Creed is locked). Don't think we'll quite get there, but at the rate this year is going, maybe!

Tar is up 307% from LW and The Fabelmans up 74%, Oscars contenders boost?

Most of the MTCs are running a Best Picture Showcase/festival, showing select films each day. Going to be a lot of crazy day/day and week/week changes for those tiles in only a small number of main run theaters

Shame about M3GAN not getting there.

Audience exits on Comscore/Screen Engine’s PostTrak were at a great 92% positive and very strong 80% recommend pulling in 36% Black audiences, 28% Latino and Hispanic, 23% Caucasian, and 13% Asian/other. Creed III overperformed in the East and the South, however, was strong throughout the country. Moviegoer make-up was 63% guys, 55% between 18-34 and 29% between 35-54.

Wouldn´t that PostTrak suggest a A CS more then A-?

It's like a mini march 2017 where four movies opened over $40 million (Beauty and the Beast, Logan, Lego Batman and Kong) Depends on Shazam for this to tie it.

If we count March 31st weekend as a March weekend, D&D could get there as well.

Even more impressive about that is the films would be sandwiched between $100M openers potentially with Antman and Mario.

Fairly brutal for puss. Might struggle to reach 15x

wad hoping Puss would keep legging it out but now that we’ve had the Blu Ray release last Tuesday and The Peacock release next Friday it looks like we’ve reached the end
