Very good number. My club is dead ofc, but ill take anything over 35M OW, and this number locks that in. Low to mid 40s seems possible if WOM is great enough i think.

Nice! $40M and therefore the franchise opening record is inevitable. This is going to eclipse Scream 4's entire domestic run by the end of its opening weekend.

Terrific start. Hopefully it manages to hit $40M but I'm thinking $37-39M, a great result either way.

Imo, if a franchise movie (a 6th movie in a horror series especially) is about to set a new record for its franchise, i dont think it can be called weak.

Creed III ended its first week at $74.1M at 4,007 theaters. The movie had the Imax screens this past week, which Paramount won’t have for Scream VI, though the horror pic will have the premium large format screens. Creed III made $3M yesterday, -11% from Wednesday.

But they spent a lot on it (when they say 35M, its really means 50M+) and marketed it like it was Top Gun 2. Still a very good result, but good to look at things in perspective.
