19% is right if the Saturday number didn't change. Based on the-numbers, doesn't look like daily numbers have been updated yet, just the 118.4 total.

This really puts things in perspective. GotG 1 was a huge original breakout with amazing WOM yet still dropped 55%. That’s how it goes with this genre. Have a very hard time believing this can manage much better. It’s not the holidays

IW  -16%

EG  -17%

GOTG - 19%

 

GOTG3 is in some great company with that Sunday hold and when you factor in, other 3 had massive sellout spillover which GOTG3 does not.

Think the studios can live with that.

 

Fatigue really means studios released several not very appealing movies back to back. However, GOTG Vol 3 WOM is only GOTG Vol 3 thing so reading tea leaves for other SH movies won't work. If they are appealing then they are appealing. if they are not Vol 3 won't help them.

Looks like some casuals are going to wait until WOM kicks in before they commit to any future MCU film.

 

Sitting through Eternals, Love and Thunder and Ant-Man 3 will do that to you.

Notably those other 3 movies were breaking the OW record and had their suns propped up by demand spillover rather than wom per se (though all had great wom). In contrast Gotg3 is missing out of the top 50 OWs so absolutely no spillover dynamics on play.
