The Meg 2 showtimes are now populating; 3pm previews.   Also gonna be interesting to see the PLF/DBOX battle play out between it and TMNT3 as The Meg 2 is already grabbing some of the DBOX showings and nabbed the RPX screen as well.

Sawpatrol wont be the new Barben,  but it’s pretty low to shame people for seeing a “kids” movie as an adult. I guess some have never heard of the Bronies…

You know darn well there's a difference between a Pixar or Dreamworks movie and a Paw Patrol movie. The former are designed to appeal to all ages. Paw Patrol is for 5 year olds and only 5 year olds. I'm sorry if I sound judgy, but I have concerns if you're in your 20s or 30s and you're watching something that airs daily on Nick Jr. on the big screen, unless your little one is dragging you to it.

This isn't gonna work out. Even outside of the whole "when corporations force a meme, it dies" thing, who is going to go out there and look like a creepy pedophile going to see the new Paw Patrol? Nobody, that's who.

It's called "a joke." It's pretty funny, too!

Meh, I don't see having unusual tastes as being concerning.

Could Talk To Me surprise? The reviews are good and it looks more commercial than the rest of A24s movies.

I don't think it'll blow up the box office, but horror is proving to be a stable reliable genre as-of-late and this is a unique approach, so i think it'll do really well for its budget.

If I'm being generous, I'm guessing the ambition of this stunt isn't to duplicate Barbieheimer type success, and more doing something just to make people realize that both of these films exist.

Huh, weird.

*checks locally*

Same here.  Is on the corp site, as I'm sure you already saw.  But, yeah, def Simon Cowell worthy when trying to do a count, especially — with all due respect to the corp in question — their site is absolutely horrible when it comes to trying to track things.

Wednesday EA: 2 theaters 2 7 60 380 15.79
TOTALS: 60 11 171 7596 2.25

Just flat here.

Minneapolis-St.Paul Area Previews:

Haunted Mansion (T-4):

Day: T-4, T-3 Shows New Sold Seats % Sold
Thursday: 17 theaters 58 82 193 7216 2.67
Wednesday EA: 2 theaters 2 56 116 380 30.53
TOTALS: 60 138 309 7596 4.07

New column is for a total of 7 days: average of ~20 tickets sold a day. It's not doing that hot here, % sold for both WED and THU is lower than katniss numbers.

Talk To Me (T-4):

Day: T-4, T-3 Shows New Sold Seats % Sold
Thursday: 10 theaters 28 71 71 2133 3.33
Wednesday EA: 2 theaters 2 37 37 236 15.68
TOTALS: 30 108 108 2369 4.56

Comps:

0.67x Insidious: Red Door: $3.35 Million

0.32x Smile: $640k

1.95x Beast: $1.8 Million

Finally pulled these numbers. Kinda all over the place, but this screams early ticket buying from A24 fans and then weak final pre-sales, the exact opposite of my comps. So we'll see how these change

I don’t have a script up and running for corp sites so if it doesn’t work on Fandango, I pretty much can’t track it.
