No sign of Renaissance tickets yet.

Perhaps more worryingly, I can't even find it in the Fandango database.  Or on various corp sites, for that matter.

Was a little worried that the extreme last minute nature of a ticket scheduling might catch ticket websites a little flat footed, never mind individual theaters.  That might be a reason for a delay as well.

Suppose we'll see if it shows up in about 50 minutes or so.

Now on sale at AMC (w/ waiting list), but still nothing on Fandango (or Cinemark/Regal for that matter).

Obs waited for the announcement as mused by @datpepper, but it is... interesting that no one else has it right now.

Be up sooner or later, but I imagine the Beyhive members that don't live in an area with a nearby AMC theater are... irked right now.

EDIT:::

Via Twitter sleuthing, found the Fandango link:

https://www.fandango.com/renaissance-a-film-by-beyonce-2023-233638/movie-overview?date=2023-11-30

and the other MTCs are here: https://beyoncefilm.com/

(still nothing locally, lol)

FINAL SOLD NOTES: "Final sold" is the number of tickets sold for the movie in question at stop of tracking while "% of final" is the percentage of The Era Tour's current tickets sold versus that final number.

AD-HOC COMP NOTE: "Ad-hoc Comp" is the normal comp multiplied by 1.45x (a 45% increase), which is what I am using for now to account for the difference in ATP between TET and all other films.

Yeaaaaah, this is breaking out all right, even if it is frontloaded to one degree or another. Ended up smoking John Wick 4 when all was said and done.  Can't even really point to sales starting at 9pm local time last night, as that was "only" 62 tickets or so.

Didn't even bother with the Scream VI comp (17.1m, ftr).  All my other comps are either far too small, far too long of a pre-sale window, or far too big to be meaningful.  I suppose an interesting one is The Flash at 9.68m (639/640).  But everything else is lol for one reason or another.

Well, maybe so are those D1 comps above.  Find out soon enuf, I suppose.

(anyone wants to suggest possible comps, be my guest)

((before anyone suggests it:  GOTG3 D1: 5.91m [639/1892]))

Why they did launch the sales in the middle of the night? 😅

It was timed to the ending of Beyoncé's final concert for this tour.  At the very very end of her performance, she aired a trailer for the movie and made the official announcement then.

Not quite there yet, want to give it a few days to see the extend of front-loading (or not) - I commend your bravery though!

Don't know about that, but I will agree that there is are obvious signs of fan rush, as well as probable group sales.

One thing that should be noted.  This has only 1 screen so far at most locations locally (one does have it at two).  So how many screens are added, if they're added, and how this does after the initial fan rush are very much open questions.

Other thing to note:  This is gonna have three-and-a-half weeks of pre-sales so it'll be interesting to see how this does during the bottom of the U-curve.

One last thing to note.  The holiday timing and subject matter is making late night showings a bit more appealing than perhaps normal.  Along with yet another 2pm preview start time should be factored in to whatever OW multiplier one wants to eyeball, as a lot of demand is gonna get burnt off on its previews.

I did see quite a few likely group sales in my initial count too and was quite surprised at the low amount of showtimes. Only way is up I guess, let's give it a few days to see the trend.

Separately, interesting that Beyoncé | Renaissance looks like it will have Thursday previews (7pm start) so not following the TET format despite being labelled a "Special Event".

I don't want to compare yet but this will obviously benefit the former having a "full" weekend release.

I'll try to start a track later, may have to sacrifice some others as the schedule is getting a bit hectic!!

One very good thing about 7pm start times?  Many fewer shows to track. 👍

She didn't post any link in her social media so I don't think many know or the sale will big.

Beys tickets being much more expensive than Taylor's and kids and seniors having the same price as adults makes me think this will do insane numbers.

Will it be only weekend showings like Eras? Or will it play during the weekdays too? If so then yeah shes going to make bank. Also it will most likely have better legs cuz of the December release.

it's weekend only too. and I doubt that there were many kids in her target audience so..

Doesn't Godzilla Minus One has PLF on December 1. So, Renaissance will release on Standard Shows? I'm confused now?

Renaissance has Imax and Dolby release too.

it's a mix of documentary + music videos + some concert extract. Will make numbers but the eras tour it's at another level of general appeal. As a taylor swift documentary would probably have made 1/3 of what her greatest hits career- celebration concert will make.

No special tickets for senior can be acceptable, imo no special tickets for kids it'a bad idea. If some parents can't make nothing but going with the children the idea of 28 dollars for an imax ticket for an 8 years kid could even stop them from going 😅

The tour isn't very kid friendly tbh.

it's not a quentin tarantino movie too 😄. She sings, she dances and her shows are full of fireworks and fun entertaining things.

What I'm saying if you have an idea of going to the movies and you have to go with the kids cause sometimes you just have it the idea you have to spend another 45-60 dollars for 2 kids could make you choice another movie. Honestly seems a little bit to much to me.
