Horizon Chapter 1 MTC1

Previews(T-3) - 5038/108787 60465.96 1023 shows +1203

Friday - 6363/165261 76163.19 1528 shows +1466

its definitely accelerating a bit. May be 1.5m previews and low teens OW?

Horizon Chapter 1 MTC1

Previews(T-2) - 6176/117124 73807.62 1126 shows +1138

Friday - 8846/192133 104803.46 1831 shows +2483

Not convinced its going to hit 1m previews. Friday is looking better but I may have to reduce expectations even with MTC1 expected to under index.

I mean I get this film is not doing well everywhere but MTC1 has locations where it is doing VERY WELL, so sales nationwide should be better than what they are at the moment.

12 showtimes/331 tix sold (+50)

.75x Inside Out 2 (T-3) [9.75m*]
1.53x Bad Boys 4 (T-3) [8.54m]
4.53x Watchers (T-3) [4.53m]

* take this with a grain of salt, due to both genre differences and AQP over indexing since I’m tracking NYC where the movie takes place.

Watchers comp is probably the best to follow.

A Quiet Place (T-2)

12 showtimes/424 tix sold (+93)

1.27x Bad Boys 4 (T-2) [7.08m]

Not sure I got what you are saying. it is not doing great anywhere. Best theater for Friday is one in Woodbridge VA near DC. For previews highest single show has sold 46 tickets 🙂 in LA area. Only 17 shows have sold 30 or more tickets. Its doing horrendous in NY area as I dont find any show in Top 30.

Let us see how walkups go.

Sure DP3 can open to just $150M but if you see it open to just $150M at this moment is because you want it to open to $150M. Sales don't tell that, at least at this moment.

Just for some context, DP3 sales are roughly where Thor 4 was at T-17 days i.e. roughly 15 days from now on.

I meant that MTC1 has plenty locations in midwest where it is doing HUGE, they should be enough to push nationwide nos. a bit higher.

But guess places it isn't doing well are just awful.

Yeah kind of scratching my head at the pessimism all of a sudden.I could see if we were in release week but we are still 4 weeks to that and before the last marketing push happens.

When it comes to MCU @Porthos has been mostly on point. So we better keep an eye on trends on where its ending up. Look at daily pace along with total. At this point anything is possible. But I am predicting what I am projecting based on current pace and general trends of MCU movies.

*checks locally*

Roughly at T-20 locally (L&T T-20: 5525 | DP3 T-31: 5519) but perhaps quibbling.

I would point out though that since Thor 4 started out at T-24, it was much more concentrated than most other MCU films we've been discussing, and especially DP3.

How are the Regal Summer Express tickets selling? $1 tickets sold every Tues and Weds for rereleases, this week DM3 and Migration. Are they not being reported? Just a way for theaters to make money selling food to families over the summer?

It exceeded my expectations for today and so its on but Friday pace being lower is weird this late. Its IM may not be as good as what I expected earlier. But its going to go for 6m previews I think.
