Pretty decent  for Wonka and Aqua. Not so much for TCP.

Adults started to go back to work, schools/families not so much. Wed will be a better barometer of what the upcoming weekend and beyond holds will look like

However, a R movie (Anyone But You) has a pretty good hold for discount Tuesday.

Color Purple down -79% from last Tuesday and down -44% from Monday. The only movie from 2018 with comparable drops was Last Jedi, which went on to drop over 50% the following weekend. 😕

Anyone But You, however (sorry to keep being the one that talks about this movie)...

Nothing in 2018 had a Tuesday-to-Tuesday drop as strong as 11.9%. The only film in the top 10 with sub-30% drop was The Greatest Showman, down -29%!

To beginning , TCP behind ABY yesterday was already bad but behind Boys and the Boat and ABY , 😬, it's not on my 2024 Bingo

The hold for Migration is better than Ferdinand (-32%) and Coco (-28%) , so good for him .

Good hold for Wonka and Aquaman 2 ( much better than i expected for the latter)

For ABY , it's continue to be very good , it's at the same level with PP3 (2,26M) with a better hold (-33% for PP3) .

I saw this in Twitter/X yesterday

With this and with Colleges out again this weekend and this week , i think the hold Today , Tomorrow and this weekend will be really good

Female-friendly movies topically have a great Tuesday. Remember 80 for Brady has some 100% bump on Tuesday and Ticket to Paradise also had some 70%.

Anyone But You is really fun, not surprised its WOM is strong. Feels like a genuine throwback to 90s/00s rom-coms, and that’s probably where a lot of the WOM comes from. Hope it legs it out to 50M+ and we start to get more studio rom coms after this and No Hard Feelings.

That being said, we need to temper our expectations for the Wednesday hold. Female-driven movies (ESPECIALLY rom coms) have always had insane attendance spikes on Tuesdays, at least from my 7 year experience working in theaters.

Technically, TCP's main audience is female.

This movie seems to have a real problem to attract people under 25 years old.

The example given above like 80 for Brady and TTP are equally skewing old but their Tuesday was crazy. At this point, people no matter what gender or ages, they just aren't interested in TCP.

TCP is another example like MI7 and DnD, no matter how good the WOM at the exit, people just don't care what other had to say about the movie if they aren't interested. Great WOM at the exit doesn't help them visibly.
