Fun times. Although this weekend will be above this weekend last year. The next few weekends are going to be brutal though with the Era's and Five Nights at Freddys comps though the end of the month. We should now accept the reality: After a couple of decades where "It's Always summer" post pandemic june, july and half august Is only time when the box office is good for big movies. None of the October release seem locked to beat Eras tour last year including V3. Losing Joker 2 without the substitution is the worst case scenario we can imagine. Ideally a flop should be accompanied by a surprise hit to stablise the market. At least Eras and 5 nights at Freddys played this role well last year. CJohn
When a big movie nowadays bombs and gets rejected, it really bombs for the ages. No middle ground. You either do 300M+ or 80M. Insane stuff.

The fact some people here acted like the eras 95M 3 days in october was kinda disappointing too 😭

I saw Yesterday even in June inside out counted for the 42% of the market. 10 years ago and more the #1 movie even in Summer counted for something from 10% to a peak of 17%. There are bigger and bigger movies saving the months here and there and around of them just mediocrity. Movie just being boring wouldn't trigger this kind of hatred and anger.
