JAPAN BOX OFFICE | Demon Slayer breaks all time record for OW

Recommended Posts

These recent news about the theatrical run probably stopping in July, combined with the weak dailies and the weekend dropping under 6M really took me down. At this point, SA's 30.4 record is out of reach, 2nd place ahead of Titan is still likely...but honestly, I just can't digest (kinda approprate, huh?) the way things have gone.

Hope is one of the worst evils, the ancient Greeks understood it clearly. 350M is dead, and hope too.

Bad maths, you can't do the division. The average drop is above 8%.

Was it supposed to be a joke?

No, I don't know were he is or what he has done...

When people have distinct writing styles, it is pretty easy to tell who they are when they change their names. Look at the name history of the third guy up from your post asking about him (#7075).

I don't want to talk to you no more, you empty-headed animal food trough wiper! I fart in your general direction!

13 weeks at number one, 12 weeks above 700m, 28b+ total not enough? Really? Everything comes to an end eventually.

I'm guessing this means 10% up on last year, luckily Frozen made more post April, so the jump should be more after that. But honestly, it's less than I was expecting.

Disney really just has Maleficent left to post any significant figures for the year.Toho has been the #1 studio for 8-consecutive years, claiming a 30-40% market share every year since 2006.

As of April, I don't think 2014 is on track for much over 158m, an improvement over 2013 for sure, but still under 2001-2010 and not as much as I'd hoped. I could be overestimating the average ticket price (currently going with 1346, last year +100).

This is exaggerated somewhat. You can count the dots, the first is 1980

$350m (not sure of the exact figure) would mean passing DH2 for 4th WW!

According BOM, it is at 1,245 billion right now. If Frozen has grossed 218 in Japan until now, it needs to reach 315 there to beat DH2 WW.

I was about to say that Frozen is starting to drop "normally", but other movies are still dropping much bigger.

I'm guessing this means 10% up on last year, luckily Frozen made more post April, so the jump should be more after that. But honestly, it's less than I was expecting.

Yeah, I think March was really week. Other than Frozen, almost every week at least one movie bombed. Btw, what studio was #1 before 2006?

you say that a lot.  Lay off the meth. You're killing your brain cells son... ;)

There is no such thing as a stupid question, but there are inquisitive idiots. So unless you know that I'm the latter, don't comment on my questions.  :P
