keysersoze123
Avengers run is phenomenal. To beat the record in admissions is great. There is no inflation factor when you look at just admissions. Edited May 18, 2019 by keysersoze123

Justin4125
My goodness that ER.... So after years of inflation the ER drops to the point where AEG is still below Avatar in USD terms with the same admissions? Similar thing in Brazil where AEG recently passed Titanic in admissions with the same USD gross But about Cameron gross comparisons in general, I subscribe to the notion that Cameron films should just be kept in their own category haha

But is that the final delay???? https://avatarblog.typepad.com/avatar-blog/2010/06/is-the-avatar-sequel-already-in-production.html
imbruglia
Avatar's official admission is actually 13,624,328 and 128,447,097,523 won. (also its special edition in 2010 did 148,098) Endgame as of Saturday is 13,307,749 and 116,445,944,090 won. it's low on local money too but it's because of "3D". Avatar was heavily driven by its 3D screens as it was advertised as "first 3D movie, groundbreaking 3D!", forcing all the theater to built 3d screens and it was beginning of Imax boom. Avatar 3D 5,659,324(42.4%) / 65,048,736,500(51.9%) Endgame 3D 232,020(1.7%) / 2,847,532,350(2.5%) huge difference. lol I don't know about other country.. but 3D is really dead here. 4

It has to do with how this daily box office source calculates ER. Since ER has dropped since the film was released, this source recalculates the entire gross at the lower rate What the studio has been reporting captures ER more accurately, since they are not adjusting previous weeks grosses to match current ER So long story short, AEG's gross is higher than what you see in the dailies (but the dailies themselves are accurate, so only take the overall gross reported with a grain of salt) Edited May 19, 2019 by Justin4125
