Well, since studios always make excuses when original concepts perform well (there's an article about their response to Inception that's pretty pathetic), that's probably what they'll say. But most people who went to MM probably didn't know anything about Tatum's past.

Can you find that article? Curious to see what they said.

Looks like Prometheus held on better last weekend, and will top Green Lantern's final gross after staying dead even the first two weeks of release.

Yep, plus the fact that its already made $154m WW (GL only made $103m WW total). I think we can call it a qualified success now. Still I had hoped for more, oh well. Edited by rahvinn87

So Moonrise Kingdom, according to Nikki's weekend top 10 (which is surprising early from last week) jumped SWaTH, Prom, RoA, TMB, TA, MIB3, PLU,and almost passed ALVH? Incredible for its little theater increase.

No, I think he will, but isn't it possible that because it had bigger midnights, it might fall a bit more than MM?

Photo-finish ending. We will only know the number 1 place with Monday actuals.

http://www.gq.com/en...ied-mark-harrisScary stuff if you ask me.

Not surprised by anything in that article. Hollywood gets more and more cynical as time goes on. Crap like Transformers 2 making $830m and then its sequel actually increasing to $1.1 billion only encourages them to keep giving us crap instead of good storytelling. They have no incentive to take risks on films like Inception because audiences keep proving that their assumptions about us are correct.
