I think they got better as they went, so number 3 for sure. I really hope they don't pull a Disney and keep making endless sequels. They ended the series in the best possible way, so I hope they leave it that way and move on to something else!

Disney usually stops at 3, actually. Lilo & Stitch is the only franchise I can think of where they've gone past two sequels.

haha, that is true... i have never noticed that. I guess what I meant is that instead of making fresh ideas, they just dig up the dregs of the old stuff and the whole series ends up loosing its magic, like stupid straight-to-dvd movies and the endless t.v. shows Disney produces (Lion king 1.5 etc.). Pixar is worrying me because they used to be the opposite of that, but with Cars 2 and Monsters 2, I am starting to wonder...
