Ok, so the problem was with the "government catholics" feeling the movie hurting their catholic feelings.

 

So a hypothetical The Resurrection of The Christ (sequel to The Passion of The Christ) shouldn't find many issues to be shown in China, since it's the official storyline i guess.

I wonder why russian movie Attraction is doing so poorly.  And maoyan has only 3 people per show but 17.4% of available tickets sold (2nd highest of all films). That's really weird.
