MinaTakla Posted September 24, 2015 Share Posted September 24, 2015 Amazing move by SONY here in the UAE - for the first time in over probably 10 years an animated film is dubbed to Arabic and shown in theatres. HT2 is being shown with a dubbed version and an original one. While that is pretty common in Europe and Asia, in the Arab world we rarely get dubbed films in Arabic to be shown in cinemas This will boost its BO in MENA for sure. Chinoiserie Posted September 24, 2015 Share Posted September 24, 2015 From Forbes: I’m embargoed from reviewing Hotel Transylvania 2 until tomorrow afternoon, so all I will say is that I am baffled as to why the embargo for Hotel Transylvania 2 is so close to the release. This probably means he liked it (or thinks it is ok) if he does not undertand a need for last minute embargo. But I do not really agree with his reviews that often. The review is for the original 2012 version of the film. The review of the new film is under studio embargo and will be sent after 7 p.m. EDT tonight. That review has been removed. I guess they screwed up! Nice of them to tell us when the embargo is lifted though! The HT2 reviews will start coming in tonight starting at 4pm PST/7pm EST!
