As someone who couldn't stand the first film, they might just be able to make this work. It needs a sillier, more colorful feel, and with Sacha Baron Cohen going crazy again, I'm not completely against this so far.

I enjoyed the first one.  I'll probably enjoy the second.  The first looked great, sounded great, and I liked Mia a lot in the role.

So whatever, even if it is a huge cash grab. Is Elfman doing the score?  These days that means nothing mostly, but his score on Alice is imo one of his best in recent years.

For all its faults, AIW did (and still does) look visually amazing, too bad the movie around it was so uninspired. 

 

Also, Hathaway performance is one of the biggest WTF in the past few years.

A WTF that I liked very much, thank you.  ;-)  She and Elfman's score were the best things about the movie, for me.

Hathaway was better than HBC. She was by far the most interesting thing in the movie, and she needs to do more eccentric stuff like that.
