I felt such emotion for inanimate objects, and this film truly is Pixar's masterpiece. for the longest time i didnt care to watch those animated features, except for shrek films i hadnt watched an animation film since the heyday of disney lion king/alladin/beauty and the beast... i always thought toy story was stupid concept , truth be told all i knew was that it was about toys being alive, then for some reason i watched toy story 3 and cried like a baby, i was so moved by its message of friendship that i immediately sought out the previous two films, now i watch all three constantly , they're great never a boring moment, i have great affection for all the characters Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I have never read a comic and I considered these stories for children and teens. I did not like Batman'89 too much, but with these movies I came fascinated for this character and the world around him. I watched both movies one day, at home. I repeated next day. Since that moment (4 years ago), and until last summer I was exoecting for TDKR. Now, I am watching every Marvel movie and I am enjoying them a lot. But if I had not watched BB and TDK, I probably would have not seen any SH movie. The Deer Hunter. Before wacthing it I had read nothing about it. I knew it was about war, but no more. I was shocked when it finished. It is one of the most cruel and harsh films I have ever seen. It is about war, but mostly it is about friendship. There is no film that had made me do feel the loss of someone like this one. An absolute masterpiece. There was something about the isolation of the two characters in such a vast and populated city that struck a chord for some reason. When the first 10 minutes was over I can to pause the film for another ten just to pull myself together. Arguably the most heartbreaking stuff ever put to film and its a flipping kids cartoon! Even though after that most of the film becomes more childish fun (thank god) every time the film refers to those first ten minutes it became hard to watch again. Indeed everyone does a good job in it. IMO, Taxi driver (Rocky won Oscar that year over this. A bad joke), Raging bull, Casino (it was not even nominated. No words), Goodfellas, Mean streets or New York, New York are better films by far. It can be at the same level than Gangs of New York, The age of innocence or Shutter island. A good movie, but not his best movie.
