i'm in such denial , i bursted out crying , its not like i didnt know what was going to happen but shiiit why are the starks always paying the iron price , no other family in the realm words cut so deep !

 

whyyyy him whyyy ....i think what really sucks is that for years now i've held out hope ,based on fan speculation , grrm non-denial / non-confirmation ...but now that the show has caught up , i don't know if i can deal with seeing season 6 before reading book 6 ....

 

D&D have said this season no one is safe suppose jon is one of those ....my poor dany , goodbye my dreams of a SHREK happy ending GoTish obviously !!!  in which dany and jon are shrek and fiona / donkey and dragon are ghost /drogon  ..

 

i dunno guys they better be careful , i think they broke my heart , at the very least i'm having padme-ish feelings for anakin turncoat skywalker aka D&D / GrrM where she tells him "i can't follow you down this path you've chosen" ....

Jon isnt dead either he warged into ghost or some other creature or the red priestess is bringing him back breaking him of his vows to the watch.....but if he really is done then all those theories and even the hints in the show would be for nothing and we will surely know how this ends......

This season wasn't terrible at all but I'd probably still rank it last. It just wasn't the same quality that we've gotten use to from this show. I don't even remember what happened the first 6 episodes...

Yeah... I've been re-watching some of the older episodes. Nothing in season 5 (bar Hardhome) holds a candle to something like Kissed by Fire from S3

Big ratings for the final episode of the season in Australia. The 11am and 7:30pm broadcasts had a combined viewership of 519,000. No other drama on Pay TV in Australia has ratings even a third of that number.

In America, the season finale set a new series high with 8.12 million first-run viewers despite going against one of the highest rated NBA games in a long time, so I guess that whole "all deez changes Ding and Dumbby are making from the books are driving people away in drovvveeess" posts were for naught, huh?

Viewers is never a good indication of quality and quite a few people myself included are going to step away after this season and if you look around there are quite a few articles saying how bad this season was now that isn't to say critics are negative about the show now just that it is a lot more mixed than it was a decade ago. And you know that the quality simple doesn't match the books and the changes d&d made are for the most part not good. For example defend dorne. The show has become a parody of itself and even managed to remove all drama from ftw

Second half of the season was really great. First half was meh. 

 

Cersei's walk was perfect. I actually felt sorry for her, even after the things she's done, hope she slays the sparrows.

 

Why the fuck is it only 10 episodes? 10 months is too long.

The show runners have said many times that going more than 10 episodes would be too straining on the production.

Not having any TV production experience I can't dispute their view.

Actually they said this season was the first time they asked HBO for notably more money during production (for the Hardhome sequence)

Even against the NBA finals and the Jurassic World fever going around in America GOT still pulled a series high, now that is just awesome.
