Solid A, one of the most enjoyable films ever! Especially if you're into toons like me ...

The pace is breathtaking and it's so full of background jokes, sight gags and wordplay that you have to watch it multiple times. Plus, Bob Hoskins manages to stand his ground against nearly everything the animators throw at him. And Christopher Lloyd makes a memorable villain. This must have been a director's nightmare but Zemeckis did it brillantly - the guy made some truly inspired films!

Just to get am idea how good HFRR really is, go and watch "Cool World", which tried about the same concept 4 years later and was a boring mess despite more starpower.

Good Review. Just correcting the actors real name was Christopher Lloyd of TVs Taxi fame. Ps. Probably just a typo but for others as movie is 25 years old and lots here might not have seen it.

yep ty, edited it! I don't know Taxi but for me he's always Doc Brown. btw, he made a truly menacing villain, but was this the only role where he played a baddie? Usually he seems to get cast as a kind of crazy, but lovable guy.

Actually it is interesting how much Roger Rabbit and the Back to the Future are connected in the 1980s with Robert Z. Ps. Your description of Lloyd above was him in Taxi that is considered one of the Top TV Shows Ever. Even winning Multiple Emmys as Best Comedy TV Show in the early 1980s. It was about a Taxi Company that starred Danny Devito, Judd Hursh, Tony Danza, Andy Kaufman, plus others including Lloyd as a Crazy Stoner.Worth watching if you ever get the chance.

Im sucker for films that take place in the golden age of Hollywood and this is just that with a splash of color and creativity.

Steven Spielberg and Robert Zemeckis created a world that felt so new yet lived in by our childhood imaginations.

The film isn't perfect though as it just kind a meanders form scene to scene as the plot unfolds almost to easily. Christopher Lloyd is great as a snarky over the top cartoon villain but should have been given more screen time.

Watched this film again.

For a movie for kids, wow lol

I doubt they can make a film like this and marketed it towards kids.

You have swearing, sex, smoking, drinking, fighting,

Jessica Rabbit scene alones are just so risque.

Great Film showed it to my younger cousins and they enjoyed as it was quite different from the usual family film fare they watch

B+

Who Framed Roger Rabbit exceeds both technically and in entertainment. Smartly using only character actors and leaving the big names to the cartoons, it places you in one of the most fascinating and wacky worlds in any movie. Bob Hoskins is perfect as Eddie Valiant, and Christopher Lloyd is surprisingly menacing. The cameos are delightful and never overtake the story. Roger, Benny, Herman, and Jessica are all great original characters for this loony noir adventure. The animation is pure fun to just marvel at. Who Framed Roger Rabbit is an enjoyable popcorn film that's combination of animation and live action is yet to be topped. A+
