Spielberg wanting to make Potter animated and streamline some of the books into one movie shows that even the greats can have unbelievably shit ideas. Potter was lucky it escaped Spielberg's touch.

It still would've been more imaginative than what Yates did, though :redcapes:

They had some amazing crossover comics recently with those characters and their supers...trying one of those onscreen could be a crazy effective cross-over (my kids LOVED the Bugs Bunny / Legion of Superheroes crossover...and we have no Legion onscreen:)...

They had one when I was a kid.Legion_of_Super_Heroes2-s.jpg

Spielberg was epic with Adventures of Tintin. Would love to see Nolan do a WAG animation of similar scale.

I'd be down to see Snyder try animation again.

WAG has access to a major library of Hanna-Barbera toons. They need to dust them off the shelves and get really funky with modernizing them.

@YourMother may be right about the June 2018 animation being DC Superhero Girls. Maybe a prequel movie to kick-off the animated series from the My Little Pony creator.

@Spidey Freak, has it been mentioned or hinted at that the animation style in the animated  SHG series will be somewhat modified/tweaked from the style in the webisodes? Just curious...

was not aware of that. thumbs down. don't think wb would have every allowed that even if they went ahead with animation as the medium.

They are. They even are making a Hanna Barbara Cinematic Universe. SCOOB is in 2020, and CGI Jetsons is in development.

They should make Wacky Races too. That has the potential to be their Cars in terms of merch, but creatively superior.

I think WB is wondering whether to use Legion in live action or animation. They should go for Teen Titans or Young Justice first if they want to go the teen superhero route for the DCEU though.

I mean, the best Potter flicks are the most streamlined of them. That said, not a fan of the animated idea.

Doing a Legion film will be much easier as it will not require as much ground work as Young justice.

I think it will be tweaked a bit. It may resemble the style of the Super Best Friends Forever series of shorts from the same creator (Lauren Faust).

Thanks!

BTW, I love those shorts' depiction of Supergirl's body: she seems "chunky" (even if it is just chunky for the standards of animated superheroines)...
