Yen was so underused in Highlander Endgame that I almost forgot he was there. What a waste of his talent.
He had a very memorable fight scene though..in a fairly forgettable film. Haha
Even till today, both of them are not proven box office draw outside of the MCU. When Dwayne Johnson is a proven draw for pretty much every movie he is in..
Mulan also got killed by Piracy. It would have doubled in gross in China if not for D+ release in the states. Everyone I spoke to from China watched the film... and then when delved deeper, realised they watched illegally.
Millions of downloads before it was released...
It happens but not common.
Most recently in Singapore was The Batman getting back IMAX screens after Ambulance's OW.
But The Batman and Ambulance are obviously very different in terms of box office scale here.
Quite rare for a huge blockbuster like JW to not sign at least 2 weekends of IMAX exclusive contract and now resorting to sharing IMAX screens with a film on its 4th weekend.

Singapore I got my contacts and spoken to people in the industry who said it will not just be SG and Msia, so thinking which other countries / regions as well.
Top Gun: Maverick getting back some IMAX screens in some Asian territorities including Malaysia and Singapore this weekend.
Not sure about North America and Europe?
Have not watched it personally but there was a sneaks show to theater owners and media yesterday here in Singapore.
Had spoken to a friend who is one of the higher ups of a local theater, he told me the movie was draggy, and kids may not like it.
I have not watched it but will see for myself.. hope it is good.
How is the reception?
Ultraman is a very big part of the childhood of a lot of folks in my region - so I am rally for it.
Miss thoses times where Ultramen and Kaiju were actual stunt people dressed up in rubber suits, and cities / traffic were built from models - where there were not much CGI.
The Bad Guys reminds me of How to Train Your Dragon; in a sense that it was an excellent DreamWorks production and there was an article back then about HTTYD where it said DreamWorks was soaring into Pixar-dominated skies..
The Bad Guys is an excellent film and the trailer / marketing did not do it justice.
Has there ever been a 5m difference between studio estimates and actuals?
I mean percentage terms it is a mere 2.7% but I was thinking 190m.
I did not like the movie at all, genuinely did not enjoy it but I still hope for good box office and theater recovery.
There is no way 400m domestic is not happening. Come on. Let's be realistic here.
Even Captain Marvel did that with more competition.
IP sells and DS2 has 0 competiton for the next 3 weeks.
