I would hope Sully doesn't get a BP nom since I personally think it's just another by the numbers "inspirational true event" directed by Eastwood. But they love him and Hanks and it would be the biggest hit of the contenders, so who knows.
I had it pegged for 85m, which it will also clear with ease. Awesome.
It's also kind of crazy that if LLL doesn't do big numbers like a lot of us are hoping, this could be the big box office "hit" of the BP field this year.
Moana's holds seem to be crazy good 4-5 days of the week, but then it just can't quite keep up with Frozen holds on a few days (like this past Sat and Mon). But I think it's obvious it's getting a leggy run. How leggy remains the question. Definitely hope it beats Frozen's third weekend hold since it won't have anywhere near Frozen's 4th weekend hold since that was the Xmas weekend for Frozen.
The worst part is the ones that could turn out good like Batman, Coco, Ferdinand, DM3...could just as easily turn out underwhelming or bad. There's nothing at all that gives off a lot of hope. Coco is the closest.
Dear god, next year is seriously the year animation goes to die. Just look at what we're being "treated" to:
.................................................................................
Lol, seriously? That's as messed up as when the Fine Bros. of Youtube fame tried to trademark the word "react."

Overall I almost like Fantasia 2000 better than the original. Not the standout segments of the first, but more consistent for me. The beginning of Fantasia really drags, and both The Rite of Spring and The Pastoral Symphony overextend their welcome a bit.
